The most affected companies are Transnet, Eskom, Telkom, Metrorail and Municipalities.

Responsible recyclers train their staff to identify these materials and build co-operative relationships with the SAPS and affected companies to ensure that these items do not enter the recycling chain. 

RASA assists companies by facilitating training in the Identification of Frequently Stolen Materials, in conjunction with the affected stakeholders and SAPS.

This ensures that all parties remain committed to ensuring that infrastructure, which may be affected by theft, does not enter the responsible recycling chain.
